What our Tutoring Looks Like
Our tutoring starts with us trying to understand how it is we can best help. Whilst we are already familiar with the syllabus, we’d like to get to know the student as well so that we can better tailor our approach.
The key pillar of our philosophy is that learning needs to be driven by passion.
There needs to be an answer to the question “Why does this matter ?”
For each person, this kind of motivation can take a different shape, which is why we have such a focus on individual personalisation.
We offer sessions at an hourly rate (minimum 1 hour) online or in person, on a regular or as-needed basis. We can arrange to have session in the same time slot each week, or book them in before exams or when things are getting a little tough. Whether you want a full lesson or some help going through problems, we will have the sessions planned to make the most of your time.
For parents, we can also write summaries after each session free of charge so that you can track your child’s learning progression.
Our sessions range from $60/hr for NAPLAN students to $80/hr for HSC students. To ensure we are the right fit for you and our teaching is to your standard, our first session is offered at half price. Archie Kater
I’m currently studying Mechanical Engineering and Advanced Science at UNSW, with experience as a university mentor and student tutor. I value learning as a process, not just an outcome, and aim to help students move beyond memorisation, building real understanding and develop lasting confidence.

Harrison Kater
I’m currently undertaking my Honours in Statistics at the University of New South Wales and have always had a passion for teaching and learning. I have experience tutoring students at all academic levels, with a style that aims to have them develop a more conscious attitude about their studying process.
